Being Better
I am bifurcating.
For several years I have been writing blog posts specifically for teachers. Because teaching is where my heart lies. And where I think all kinds of good does and can happen.
But this blog is swelling with posts that are not just relevant to teachers. Like I Am Racist. Or Paradigm Shift. Or You Hurt My Feelings.
I can’t help it. The psychodynamic perspective I bring to my thinking and my work is relevant to everyone everywhere all the time.
So I’m starting
a new blog.
It’s called Being Better. Subtitle: How to be better at relationships. With anyone. With everyone.
The inaugural post — right before our new President’s inauguration — is called “The US is infantile at best.” Subtitle: “In which I consider our country’s developmental stage based on the evidence from last week’s attack on the Capitol.”
Please check it out. Please consider subscribing. There’s a fee — after 9 years of publishing this TTE blog, I’m going professional! — of $5 per month or $50 per year. You can read the first (and other) posts for free, so don’t opt out just because you don’t want to pay anything. My hope is that Being Better will entertain you and provide concrete ways you can improve every single relationship you have, not just the ones in school. I think it will be worth reading.
And, if you’re into this Teaching through Emotions blog, never fear. It will continue. Every week. For free. With a laser focus on teaching and teachers. Cuz you deserve it.
Thank you thank you thank you for your support and your attention and your own good work.
