Boredom and...

Well here’s a fun fact:

Chronic boredom is associated with

sadism.

According to this series of studies.

Interesting, yes? When you think about students who spent over a year at home doing (boring) online learning? And then came back to school to (boring) stressed-out teachers and (boring) lessons?

I know I know.

Not every teacher on the planet was boring this year. Not every lesson was boring.

But, when you think about it, might the students who have been acting out in class or bullying teachers or fighting in the cafeteria — in addition to suspecting that

no one is in charge —

might they also be feeling bored?

If so, what can — or, next year, could — be done?
